Marek Zając (born 17 September 1973) is a Polish professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player. A versatile Defender (association football), defender, he experienced considerable success with Wisła Kraków before moving to Turkey to play for Süper Lig sides Denizlispor and A. Sebatspor until he joined Chinese side Shenzhen Jianlibao and became a prominent figure within the team for five seasons. Club career Zając previously played for KS Cracovia, Cracovia and Hutnik Kraków, before he moved to Polish powerhouse Wisła Kraków, where he experienced considerable success by winning two league titles and a call-up to the Poland national football team, Poland national team. Marcin Zając (born 19 May 1975) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career He started his career at Start Łódź. In 1996, he was bought by Widzew Łódź, participating in their 1996–97 UEFA Champions League campaign. In 2002, he joined Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski where he played for four years. In July 2004, he had a trial with Rangers. Zając spent a couple years at Lech Poznań after joining them in 2006, before transferring to Ruch Chorzów in June 2008. Józef Zając
Józef Ludwik Zając (pron. Za-YANTz) (1891–1963) was a Polish general and pilot. Biography Born on 14 March 1891 in Rzeszów, Józef Zając studied at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, graduating with a PhD in philosophy in 1915. He joined the Polish pro-independence organization of that time; in 1912 he joined the Riflemen's Association where he took the course to gain the qualifications of a military officer. In 1914 he joined the Polish Legions in First World War; he commanded the 3rd, 6th, 5th and again 3rd regiments (''pułk''s). In 1918 he joined the Blue Army of general Józef Haller; until mid-1920 he spent most of his time in France (among other things, he attended the École Supérieure de Guerre). He took part in the last phase of the Polish-Soviet War: on 17 August 1920 he became the chief of staff of an Operational Group 'Wisła' of the Polish 5th Army, later, Operational Group 'North' of the 2nd Army, and finally, of the 3rd Army. Stanisław Zając (, 1 May 1949 – 10 April 2010) was a Polish lawyer and politician. He was a member of Sejm 1991–1993 and Sejm 1997–2001. On 25 September 2005 he was elected a member of the Sejm again, getting 25,225 votes in 22 Krosno district as a candidate from the Law and Justice list. Zając was born in Święcany. Travis Zajac (; ; born May 13, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. Zajac was selected in the first round, 20th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, with whom he would go on to play for 15 years and over 1,000 NHL games. He also briefly played for the New York Islanders. Playing career Amateur Zajac began his junior ice hockey career with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
