Giuseppe Sciuti
Giuseppe Sciuti (Zafferana Etnea, Sicily, 26 February 1834 – Rome, 13 March 1911) was an Italian painter. Biography His father, a pharmacist, insisted his son follow his trade. But he relented and allowed Giuseppe to study locally at age 15, and later with a small allowance from his father, in Catania, where he worked under Giuseppe Destefani, a scenographer, for six months. He also studied under the ornamental painter . Afterwards, he joined the studio of the painter Antonino Gandolfo. By the age of 18, he was hoping to travel to either Florence or Rome to study, but an eruption of Mount Etna, Etna destroyed his father's farms, and left his family impoverished. Giuseppe was forced to seek work under a local decorative painter. Mount Etna
Mount Etna, or simply Etna ( or ; , or ; ; or ), is an active stratovolcano on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, in the Metropolitan City of Catania, between the cities of Messina, Italy, Messina and Catania. Rosario Di Bella (born 27 July 1963) is an Italian composer, singer-songwriter, music arranger and musician. Background Born in Zafferana Etnea, Catania, the son of a trumpeter, Di Bella spent much of his childhood in Geneva. At just eight years old he started playing guitar, and shortly later he began studying piano. He studied medicine at the University of Catania. After a long period spent traveling around the world and playing with groups and formations from different backgrounds, in 1987 he participated at the Castrocaro Music Festival, winning the competition with the song "Sono interessante". The first album, ''Pittore Di Me Stesso'', was released in 1989, obtaining good reviews from critics. In 1991, he debuted at the Sanremo Music Festival, as a member of a trio consisting of himself, Marco Conidi and Bungaro; their song "E noi qui" was a commercial success. Alfio Giuffrida, also known as Alfio Giuffrida AG Sinnwerke (born 28 January 1953 in Zafferana Etnea) is a contemporary Italian sculptor, installation artist, set designer and painter. Works In 1975 he returned to non-figurative representation and participated in the X Rome Quadriennale. Between 1977 and 1985 he worked as a freelance painter and set designer in Rome. He moved to Cologne in 1986. From 1990 to 2004 he worked in his studio in Bonn. 2003 saw the founding of the fictitious factory A.G. Sinnwerke®. The first products to appear under the A.G. Sinnwerke label were the ''CDs'', ''CD-Sets'', and ''Selbstbau-Sets''. Alfio Rapisarda (born 3 September 1933) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See from 1962 to 2008, with the title of apostolic nuncio from 1979.
