Yuri Mikhailovich Pavlov (russian: Юрий Михайлович Павлов; born 14 December 1935, in Orenburg Oblast, USSR - 27 July 2015 in Saint Petersburg) was a Soviet Russian painter, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 — the Leningrad Union of Artists), who live and work in Leningrad - Petersburg, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. Biography In 1962 Yuri Pavlov graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the Victor Oreshnikov workshop with the rank of artist of painting. His degree work was a painting titled ''"Anton Chekhov and Isaak Levitan"''. Since 1964 Yuri Pavlov has participated in Art Exhibitions. Orenburg Oblast (russian: Оренбургская область, ''Orenburgskaya oblast'') is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Orenburg. From 1938 to 1957, it bore the name ''Chkalov Oblast'' () in honor of Valery Chkalov. Population: 2,033,072 ( 2010 Census). Geography Orenburg Oblast's internal borders are with the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan to the north, Chelyabinsk Oblast to the north-east, and with Samara and Saratov oblasts to the west. Orenburg Oblast also shares an international border with Kazakhstan to the east and south. The oblast is situated on the boundary between Europe and Asia.
