Yeoju Line
The Gyeonggang Line (경강선) is a rail line in South Korea, which at present comprises two distinct sections. The first one, which opened on September 24, 2016, is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, and runs from the city of Seongnam to Yeoju, Yeoju City, partially coinciding with the route of the former narrow-gauge Suryeo Line. The second section, which is located entirely in Gangwon Province, South Korea, Gangwon Province, runs between Gangneung and Wonju and opened on December 22, 2017, in anticipation of the 2018 Winter Olympics. This section of the line offers Korea Train Express, KTX service from Seoul, through the Jungang Line. In the future, the two sections are to be connected, and the Gyeonggang Line will be extended westwards to Siheung. Yeongdong Line
The Yeongdong Line is a line of Korail. It connects Yeongju in North Gyeongsang Province with Gangneung in Gangwon Province. From Yeongju, it crosses the Taebaek Mountains and reaches the Sea of Japan (East Sea) at Donghae, thence proceeding north to Gangneung. At Yeongju, the line connects with the Gyeongbuk and Jungang Lines. Some trains travel directly from one to the other, so that it is possible to travel directly from Seoul or Busan to Gangneung by rail. History Construction The first section of the line (Mukho Port–Dogye) was opened by the privately owned Samcheok Railway on 31 July 1940. The line was named Cheoram Line, which ran from Mukho, a port on Korea's east coast that became part of Donghae in 1980, to Cheoram in the Taebaek Mountains, to develop three coal fields. National Route 7 () is a National highways of South Korea, national highway in South Korea. It connects Busan with Goseong County, Gangwon, Goseong in Gangwon Province (South Korea), Gangwon Province. Donghae Expressway
Donghae Expressway () is an expressway in South Korea, connecting Busan to Sokcho. It is numbered 65 and it is planned to eventually extend all the way along the east coast to Haeundae-gu, Haeundae, Busan. Its current length is , and It is part of the AH6 (highway), Asia Highway Route 6. In 1966. the South Korean Government and IBRD investigated about Gangwon Province (South Korea), Gangwon Province, and decided to construct a new Industrial road that connected Sokcho, Gangneung and Samcheok. Wonju Airport
Wonju Airport is an airport in Hoengseong County, Gangwon, South Korea. During the Korean War it was designated K-46 (Hoengseong Air Base) by the United States Air Force. In 2011, 70,943 passengers used the airport, which is mainly for military use. Operations Wonju Airport's passenger terminal is 1.5 km from the airport runway, requiring passengers to take a shuttle bus (about 20 minutes) to their aircraft. Only one parking position is large enough for a Boeing 737-900. The airport has a daily scheduled flight two times, currently operated by Jin Air to Jeju. Because Wonju Airport is sharing with the military, taking photograph or video of apron, runway and military facility is strictly prohibited. Jungang Expressway
The Jungang Expressway () is an expressway in South Korea. Its name literally means "Central Expressway," and for much of its length it runs through mountainous terrain near the country's east-west center line, including the national parks of Chiaksan National Park, Chiaksan and Sobaeksan National Park, Sobaeksan. It covers a total distance of roughly 388.1 kilometers. The southern end is in Sasang-gu, Busan, although for much of the distance between Busan and Daegu it runs together with the Gyeongbu Expressway. Its northern end is in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea, Gangwon Province. The expressway was completed in December 2001.
