Year Long Disaster
Year Long Disaster was an American rock band from Los Angeles. Formed in 2004, the band was composed of vocalist and guitarist Daniel Davies, bassist Rich Mullins and drummer Brad Hargreaves. Hargreaves was later replaced by Rob Oswald, and guitarist Will Mecum also joined in a later incarnation of the group. History 2004–2009: Formation and debut album Daniel Davies and Rich Mullins first met in November 2003, after the bassist had left Karma to Burn and was playing in the band Speedealer. After completing a drug rehabilitation program together, the pair met Brad Hargreaves in November 2004, and after an informal jam session formed Year Long Disaster later. Year Long Disaster signed with Californian record label Volcom Entertainment in May 2007, quickly entering the studio with Tucson, Arizona-based producer Jim Waters and later joining Clutch on a month-long United States tour. Richard Mullins is an American musician best known as the former bassist of the rock bands Karma to Burn, Year Long Disaster, and Speedealer (originally REO Speedealer before lawsuit). Airbourne are an Australian hard rock band formed in Warrnambool, Victoria (Australia), Victoria, in late 2003. Founding members are Joel O'Keeffe on lead vocals and lead guitar, his younger brother Ryan O'Keeffe on drums and David Roads on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. They were joined by Justin Street on bass guitar and backing vocals in mid-2004. Valient Thorr is an American southern rock/ heavy metal band from Greenville, North Carolina. The name of the band is based on the urban legend of Valiant Thor, an Alien which came from Venus to Earth. Valient explained, "That'll be the background for the band! We're from space ..." History Valient Thorr began playing together in 2000. Their first show was on Easter of 2001. They released two demos, "Raw" and "We Come From The Morning Star". Misfits (band)
The Misfits are an American punk rock band often recognized as the pioneers of the horror punk subgenre, blending punk and other musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. The group was founded in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, by vocalist, songwriter and keyboardist Glenn Danzig. "Running Free" is the debut single by Iron Maiden, released on 8 February 1980 on the 7" 45 rpm vinyl record format. It was written by Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno. The song appears as the third track on the band's debut album ''Iron Maiden'' (and the fourth track on its 1998 re-release). In 1985, a live version of the song was released as the first single from '' Live After Death'' (the band's twelfth single). In 1990, the original single was reissued on CD and 12" vinyl as part of '' The First Ten Years'' box, in which it was combined with the band's next single, "Sanctuary". Waters, it was released on August 21, 2007 by Volcom Entertainment. "Leda Atomica/It Ain't Luck" and "Per Qualche Dollaro in Piu" were released as singles. Turbonegro
Turbonegro (Turboneger in Norway) is a Norwegian rock band, active from 1989 to 1998 and from 2002 to the present. The band combines glam rock, punk rock, and hard rock into a self-described "deathpunk" musical style. History Early years (1989–1994) Turbonegro formed in Oslo during the winter of 1988–1989. The initial lineup consisted of Thomas Seltzer (a.k.a. Happy-Tom), Vegard Heskestad, Pål Bøttger Kjærnes, Rune Grønn, Pål Erik Carlin and Tor-Kristian "TK" Jenssen. Seltzer and Heskestad had formerly performed in a band called "De Dype" – a noisy and subversive ensemble inspired by American rock band Butthole Surfers.
