Yars Rising
''Yars Rising'' is a 2024 action-adventure video game developed by WayForward and published by Atari, Inc. for home consoles and computers. It is part of the ''Yars'' series. Gameplay ''Yars Rising'' has been described as a metroidvania genre with 2D exploration and labyrinthian level design. The player is expected to hack into terminals while progressing through the game, giving the player-character different abilities by altering her DNA. Plot Set in the year 2049, ''Yars Rising'' is about Emi Kimura, a young hacker who is hired to expose the dark workings of the shady QoTech corporation. Development and release ''Yars Rising'' was announced at an Indie World Nintendo Direct on April 17, 2024. Shantae (video Game)
''Shantae'' is a 2002 Platformer, platform video game developed by WayForward and originally published by Capcom for the Game Boy Color. The video game follows the adventures of the titular half-genie Shantae (character), Shantae as she travels across Sequin Land to thwart the domination plans of the evil lady pirate Risky Boots. During her quest, she learns various dances and acquires items which make her progressively stronger as well as unlocking new abilities and locations, culminating in a final showdown with Risky at her hideout. Upon its release, ''Shantae'' received favorable reviews but struggled to find an audience due to its launch a year after the Game Boy Color was succeeded by the Game Boy Advance. Despite this, it has since been recognized as a "cult video game, cult classic" and is frequently included in lists of the best Game Boy Color games. The Nintendo Switch is a video game console developed by Nintendo, for which games are released both in physical and digital formats. Physical games are sold on Nintendo game card, cartridges that slot into the Switch console unit. Metroidvania is a sub-genre of action-adventure games and/or platformers focused on nonlinear exploration and guided progression with a need to acquire key items to enter certain areas. The term is a partial blend of the names of the video game series ''Metroid'' and ''Castlevania'', based on the template from ''Metroid'' (1986), '' Castlevania II'' (1987), ''Super Metroid'' (1994), and '' Castlevania: Symphony of the Night'' (1997). These games usually feature a large interconnected world map the player can explore, although parts of the world will be inaccessible to the player until they acquire special items, tools, weapons, abilities, or knowledge within the game. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern.
