XXX Corps (Pakistan)
The XXX Corps (30 Corps), known as Triple X Corps, is a corps of the Pakistan Army currently assigned to Gujranwala, Punjab Province. The Corps is a major and integral part of the army, along with PAF's Eastern Air Command. It is currently commanded by Lt Gen Muhammad Aamir The vital area, which connects Pakistan's Punjab with parts of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (extending from Jehlum to Narowal), has always been of strategic importance; the place was the site of major battles in both 1965 and 1971. Traditionally, this area had been held by I Corps. That corps already had offensive duties, and the task of defending this area was being neglected by the corps HQ. Active Duty

Pakistan Army
The Pakistan Army (, ) is the land service branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The roots of its modern existence trace back to the British Indian Army that ceased to exist following the Partition of British India, which occurred as a result of the 1947 Indian Independence Act of the United Kingdom. Sitara-e-Jurat (, Star of Courage) is the third highest military award of Pakistan. Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah HI(M) ( ur, عاصم منیر احمد ) is a Pakistani four-star rank general and current Chief of Army Staff, prior to become army chief he was posted in GHQ as the Quartermaster general. He commanded the XXX Corps (Pakistan) in Gujranwala from 17 June 2019 to 6 October 2021. He served as the 23rd Director-General of the ISI until he was replaced with Lt. Gen.
