Xidian University () is a public university in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education, and co-funded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SASTIND, and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. Shumin Zhai (Chinese simplified: 翟树民) (born 1961) is a Chinese-born American Canadian Human–computer interaction (HCI) research scientist and inventor. He is known for his research specifically on input devices and interaction methods, swipe-gesture-based touchscreen keyboards, eye-tracking interfaces, and models of human performance in human-computer interaction. His studies have contributed to both foundational models and understandings of HCI and practical user interface designs and flagship products. He previously worked at IBM where he invented the ShapeWriter text entry method for smartphones, which is a predecessor to the modern Swype keyboard. Zhong Lin Wang
Zhong Lin Wang ( zh, c=王中林, p=Wáng Zhōnglín; born November 1961) is a Chinese-American physicist, materials scientist and engineer specialized in nanotechnology, energy science and electronics. He was awarded the Albert Einstein World Award of Science in 2019, and has been called the ‘father of nanogenerators’. He received his PhD from Arizona State University in 1987. He was the Hightower Chair in Materials Science and Engineering and Regents' Professor Chair Emeritus at the Georgia Institute of Technology, US. Lai Xuejia
Xuejia Lai () is a cryptographer, currently a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His notable work includes the design of the block cipher IDEA based on the Lai-Massey scheme, the theory of Markov ciphers, and the cryptanalysis of a number of cryptographic hash functions. His book ''On the Design and Security of Block Ciphers'' () is frequently cited in cryptography papers. Lai received a B.Sc. in electrical engineering in 1982 and an M.Sc. in mathematics in 1984 at Xidian University (then known as ''Northwest Institute of Telecommunication Engineering''). Robert Caiming Qiu is a Chair Professor at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2015 for his contributions to ultra-wideband wireless communications. The spacecraft, with a total mass of nearly five tons, is one of the heaviest probes launched to Mars and carries 14 scientific instruments. Gou Zhongwen (; born 26 June 1957) is a Chinese politician who served as director of the State General Administration of Sports from 2016 to 2022. Biography Gou was born Zhenyuan County, Gansu province. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in April 1976, the year Mao died. He attended Xidian University with a degree in electrical engineering.
