XT (band)
XT was a metal band from Sweden. It was formed by Bjorn Stigsson and Sonny Larson in 1991, following the breakup of Stigsson's earlier band Leviticus. The band, whose name means "Christ" released three albums before their breakup in 1995. They became better known in Japan than either Europe or the United States. Prior to forming XT, Sonny Larson had been involved in a few other Swedish metal bands as lead vocalist. While in Motherlode (1983–1987) he worked with Mark Stanway, who was later in the British melodic rock band Magnum. Motherlode released one album, ''Sanctuary'', in 1986. Following Motherlode, he joined Charizma and stayed with them until 1988. Beyond Leviticus and XT, Stigsson also released a solo project in 1986 called ''Together With Friends''. Christian metal, also known as white metal, Jesus metal or heavenly metal, is heavy metal music distinguished by its Christian themed song lyrics and the dedication of the band members to Christianity. Leviticus (band)
Leviticus was a Christian metal band from Sweden. The band formed in 1981 and was led by Bjorn Stigsson. They released four albums before breaking up in 1990. Background The band's early releases were metal with symphonic influences using the Roland synthesizer guitar and Moog Taurus pedals. ''Knights of Heaven'' showed a move toward a more melodic rock based sound. In 1986 the band went through lineup changes: Ez Gomér was brought in to replace Håkan Andersson on bass, and Terry Haw joined. Both were with the band through ''Setting Fire to the Earth'' (1987), then left to form Jet Circus. With this lineup they toured extensively in Europe throughout 1986–1987. Charles Edward Hicks Jr. (July 6, 1973 – December 16, 1993), also known by his stage name Charizma, was an MC from Milpitas, California. He is best known for his work with Peanut Butter Wolf; the two artists formed a duo after meeting in 1990. Their musical partnership was cut short following Charizma's murder in 1993.
