Who Dares, Sings!
''Who Dares, Sings!'' is a karaoke style game show airing in the United Kingdom on the ITV Network and in the Republic of Ireland on TV3 Ireland. It premiered at 20:00 BST on 28 June 2008 and was hosted by Ben Shephard and Denise Van Outen. Only seven episodes have been shown in one series. Tickets were offered for a Christmas special, but this has not aired and will probably never do so. Format The studio audience of 100 people all attempt to sing to win a potential jackpot of £50,000. In the first round, all 100 people sing along to a song, but five performances of the song are selected at random and judged by a super computer called SAM (short for Sound Analysis Machine). The two that score the highest go through to a "pitch battle", for a place in the semi-final round. These two will then pick a song each from a "karaoke songbook", and will then perform it. Ben Shephard
Benjamin Peter Sherrington Shephard (born 11 December 1974) is an English television presenter and journalist who is currently employed by ITV. He was a main presenter on the now defunct breakfast programme '' GMTV'' and since April 2014 has co-hosted the ITV breakfast show '' Good Morning Britain'' alongside Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins. The London Studios
The London Studios (also known as The South Bank Studios, The London Television Centre, ITV Tower, Kent House and LWT Tower) in Lambeth, Central London was a television studio complex owned by ITV plc and originally built for London Weekend Television. The studios were located in Central London, on the South Bank next to the IBM Building and the Royal National Theatre. The building was set on 2.5 acres of land and was 24 floors high. The London Studios closed on 30 April 2018. Many ITV programmes now come from BBC Studioworks Television Centre, White City, London. The facilities were the main studios for ITV, along with a number of production companies including ITV Studios and Shiver based in Kent House tower, while the studios were home to many entertainment, game and daytime shows. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Virgin Media One, also called Virgin One, is an Irish free-to-air television channel owned by Virgin Media Ireland (part of Liberty Global), operated through its subsidiary Virgin Media Television. ''Catchphrase'' is a British game show based on the short-lived American game show of the same name. It originally aired on ITV in the United Kingdom between 12 January 1986 and 23 April 2004. A currently running revival premiered on ITV on 7 April 2013. ''Catchphrase'' was presented by Northern Irish comedian Roy Walker from its 1986 premiere until 1999, airing weekly at night.
