Whitefish Lake is a lake in the Moira River and Lake Ontario drainage basins on the border between the Cashel portion of Tudor and Cashel, Ontario, Tudor and Cashel, Hastings County, Ontario, Hastings County and Addington Highlands, Ontario, Addington Highlands, Lennox and Addington County, Ontario, Lennox and Addington County in Ontario, Canada. The lake is about long and wide and lies at an elevation of about northeast of the community of Gunter, Ontario, Gunter and northwest of the community of Cloyne, Ontario, Cloyne. Only the very western tip of the lake lies in Tudor and Cashel, Hastings County, with the rest in Addington Highlands, Lennox and Addington County. The primary inflow and outflow is Merrill Creek (Ontario), Merrill Creek, flowing in at the north from Little Merrill Lake (Merrill Creek), Little Merrill Lake and out at the west. Tudor and Cashel is a township (Canada), township in the Canada, Canadian province of Ontario, located in Hastings County. The township consists of two non-contiguous portions, separated by Limerick, Ontario, Limerick township and the northernmost portion of Tweed, Ontario, Tweed.The municipality is mostly rural. History Tudor Township was created circa 1865. Cashel Township was created circa 1869. Tudor and Cashel Townships were administered as one in 1897. Limerick, Ontario, Limerick Township and Wollaston, Ontario, Wollaston Township petitioned unsuccessfully for separation from Tudor Township in 1868. Wollaston Township was eventually formed circa 1880. Limerick Township was eventually formed in 1887 between today's Tudor and Cashel Townships. Geologically Limerick Township and Tudor Township are very similar, with valuable mineral resources.
