West Texas Wildcatters
The West Texas Wildcatters were a professional indoor football team based in Odessa, Texas. The Wildcatters played their home games at the Ector County Coliseum. The Wildcatters began play in 2014 an expansion team in the Lone Star Football League (LSFL). They had planned on joining the CIF in 2014 during the merger of the LSFL and Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL), but were left out of the league. The Wildcatters were the second indoor football team to call Odessa home, following the West Texas Roughnecks (originally the Odessa Roughnecks) which played in Intense Football League in 2004 and again from 2006 to 2008, the National Indoor Football League in 2005, the Indoor Football League from 2009 to 2011 and the LSFL from 2012 to 2013 before folding after they could not find a new owner. Lone Star Football League
The Lone Star Football League (LSFL) was a regional professional indoor football minor league that played three seasons from 2012 to 2014. All of the LSFL's charter teams were based in the state of Texas, with five teams coming from the Southern Indoor Football League, three from the Indoor Football League, plus one expansion team. The LSFL played three seasons to completion before merging with the Champions Professional Indoor Football League in August 2014 to form Champions Indoor Football. History 2012 season The 2012 season began with the Houston Stallions, Amarillo Venom, Rio Grande Valley Magic, Laredo Rattlesnakes, West Texas Roughnecks, Corpus Christi Hammerheads, and Abilene Ruff Riders participating. Dennis Morris (American Football)
Dennis Morris (born February 15, 1987) is a former American football tight end. Morris was an All-American tight end for Louisiana Tech. He was drafted in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. He was also a member of the St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers, and West Texas Wildcatters. Early life Morris was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he attended and played high school football for Woodlawn High School. A multi-talented athlete, he played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, and linebacker while in high school. In his career, he totaled 1,947 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns, as well as 216 career tackles and eight interceptions. An athletic conference is a collection of sports teams, playing competitively against each other in a sports league. In many cases conferences are subdivided into smaller divisions, with the best teams competing at successively higher levels. Conferences often, but not always, include teams from a common geographic region. Australian rules football The AFL Women's competition used a non-geographic conference system in 2019 and 2020. The league was divided into two conferences, based on ladder position in the previous season. Not every team could play each other due to the limited number of rounds, so conferences were introduced so that teams were only measured against the teams they played. Antonio Dixon (born July 17, 1985) is a former American football nose tackle. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Washington Redskins in 2009. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2009 to 2011 before being waived during final roster cuts, and played for the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He played college football at the University of Miami. Early years Dixon grew up in at least six homeless shelters in Miami and Atlanta. He stuttered, had dyslexia, and could not read until the sixth grade. His mother, Corenthia Dixon, was a single parent raising five children, including Dixon.
