Warm Springs Valley is a valley located within the city of Lake Elsinore in Riverside County, California. It lies between the main body of the Temescal Mountains to the north, east and south and the Clevelin Hills to the west.USGS Map: Lake Elsinore, CA The valley was named for the warm springs that used to be found flowing there. Warm Springs Valley is located along the upper reach of Temescal Creek near Lake Elsinore its upper point is where the Elsinore Spillway Channel emerges from the gap between the Clevelin Hills and Temescal Mountains , and runs northward to the head of Walker Canyon . Its easternmost point is the gap in the mountains where State Highway 74 passes to the east toward Perris . A valley is an elongated low area often running between hills or mountains, which will typically contain a river or stream running from one end to the other. California State Highway 74
State Route 74 (SR 74), part of which forms the Palms to Pines Scenic Byway or Pines to Palms Highway, and the Ortega Highway, is a state highway in the U.S. state of California. It runs from Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano in Orange County to the city limits of Palm Desert in Riverside County.
