Wannsee Villa
Wannsee () is a locality in the southwestern Berlin borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Germany. It is the westernmost locality of Berlin. In the quarter there are two lakes, the larger ''Großer Wannsee'' (Greater Wannsee, "See" means lake) and the '' Kleiner Wannsee'' (Little Wannsee), located on the River Havel and separated only by the Wannsee Bridge. The larger of the two lakes covers an area of and has a maximum depth of . Geography Overview At the western rim of the Wannsee locality the Glienicke Bridge connects it with the city of Potsdam. The late neoclassical Glienicke Palace as well as the Pfaueninsel are nearby. Since 1990 these palaces and parks have formed part of the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin UNESCO World Heritage Site. The locality is centred on the ancient village of Stolpe, known to exist in 1299. Berlin-Wannsee Railway Station
Berlin-Wannsee station (in German ''Bahnhof Berlin-Wannsee'') is a railway station opened in 1874 which lies in the Wannsee district of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. It is an important traffic junction in south-west Berlin that is served by the ''RegionalExpress'' and '' RegionalBahn'' trains of the ''Deutsche Bahn'', the '' Harz-Berlin-Express'' of '' Veolia Verkehr'' and by the Berlin S-Bahn. In summer, Wannsee serves as the Berlin terminal for '' DB AutoZug'' car carrying trains to and from southern Europe. History On 13 August 1961, with the construction of Berlin Wall, S-Bahn traffic from Stahnsdorf and Potsdam was discontinued. Michael Kohlhaas
''Michael Kohlhaas'' is a novella by the German author Heinrich von Kleist, based on a 16th-century story of Hans Kohlhase. Kleist published fragments of the work in volume 6 of his literary journal '' Phöbus'' in June 1808. The complete work was published in the first volume of Kleist's ' (novellas) in 1810. Both the theme (a fanatical quest for justice) and the style (existentialist detachment posing as a chronicle) are surprisingly modern. They resonated with other authors more than a century after they were written. The historical Kohlhase The merchant Hans Kohlhase lived in Cölln on the Spree (now incorporated into Berlin) in the Margraviate of Brandenburg in the 16th century. Nikolassee
Nikolassee () is a locality (''Ortsteil'') of Berlin in the borough (''Bezirk'') of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, named after the small Nikolassee lake. Located in the affluent Southwest of the city, the area comprises parts of the Schlachtensee neighbourhood and the eastern shore of the Großer Wannsee lake with the large ''Strandbad Wannsee ''lido, as well as the islets of Schwanenwerder and Lindwerder. Geography Nikolassee is located on the Bundesstraße 1 road from the Berlin city centre to Potsdam, south of the extended Grunewald forest. The river Havel separates it from Kladow and Gatow in the Spandau borough. Richard Ermisch
Richard Ermisch (full name: ''Georg Friedrich Richard Ermisch'') (17 June 1885, Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt – 7 December 1960, Berlin) was a German architect, painter and graphic designer. From 1903 to 1906, he attended the 'Königliche Preußische Baugewerkschule' at Erfurt. For a short time, he worked with Karl Doflein in Berlin, and from 1907 to 1922 at the municipal building control office in Charlottenburg, which was an independent city until 1920. Afterwards, he was employed at the municipal construction office of Berlin until he retired in 1950. In between, he became ''Baurat'' (building control office surveyor) in 1921, ''Oberbaurat'' in 1929, later ''Magistratsbaurat'' and finally ''Stadtbaudirektor'', head of the Berlin municipal building office. Naturism

Strandbad Wannsee
The Strandbad Wannsee is an open-air lido on the eastern shore of Großer Wannsee lake, a large bay of the Havel river in Berlin, Germany. Opened in 1907, it is one of the largest inland lidos in Europe, with a beach that is long and wide, replenished with sand from the Baltic coast. The entire ensemble of long, low buildings that appear to grow out of the underlying sandhills were designed by Richard Ermisch and fellow architect Martin Wagner in 1929–1930; it is today placed under monumental protection. Location The area is part of the Nikolassee locality (not of Wannsee), in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf borough, in southwestern Berlin. Cornelia Froboess
Cornelia Froboess (; born 28 October 1943) is a German actress and a teen idol of the 1950s and early 1960s. During that time, Froboess appeared in many West German and Austrian musical films, especially after the rock and roll wave had hit Germany. In those comedy films, she would often portray the typical ' (brat from estBerlin) who craves independence from her strict parents. Exclave
An enclave is a territory (or a small territory apart of a larger one) that is entirely surrounded by the territory of one other state or entity. Enclaves may also exist within territorial waters. ''Enclave'' is sometimes used improperly to denote a territory that is only partly surrounded by another state.
