Wanderers Cricket Ground
Wanderers Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Windhoek, Namibia. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1990 when Namibia played the Netherlands. The ground held its first List A match in the 2001/02 6 Nations Challenge when Namibia played Sri Lanka A. In 2004, the ground held its first first-class match between Namibia and Uganda in the 2004 Intercontinental Cup. The first Twenty20 match was played on the ground in 2010, between Namibia and Bermuda, with the ground holding a further Twenty20 match between Namibia and Uganda later in 2010. In April 2013, the ground hosted its first ever international T20 match between Kenya and Netherlands. The Wanderers Stadium (Imperial Wanderers due to sponsorship reasons and affectionately known as the Bullring due to its intimidating atmosphere) is a stadium situated just south of Sandton in Illovo, Johannesburg in Gauteng Province, South Africa. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Tangeni Lungameni (born 17 April 1992) is a Namibian international cricketer who made his debut for the Namibian national team in January 2016. He is a left-arm pace bowler. Ruben Trumpelmann (born 1 February 1998) is a South African born-Namibian cricketer, who now plays for the Namibia cricket team. Early life and education Trumpelmann was born in Durban, South Africa to a Namibian-born father and spent his early life in Pretoria. He was educated at Afrikaans Hoer Skool, South Africa. Jan Nicolaas Frylinck (born 6 April 1994) is a South African-born Namibian cricketer who currently plays for Namibia national cricket team. Kenya National Cricket Team
The Kenya national cricket team represents the Republic of Kenya in international cricket. Kenya is an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has Twenty20 International (T20I) status after the ICC granted T20I status to all of their members. They have been an associate member of the ICC since 1981. The Bermuda national cricket team represents the British overseas territory of Bermuda in international cricket. The team is organised by the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB), which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1966. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level.
