Walter Seltzer
Walter Seltzer (November 7, 1914 – February 18, 2011) was an American film producer. He sat on the Motion Picture & Television Fund Board of Trustees, and was honored with the Silver Medallion for Humanitarian Achievement by the group in 1986. Plot 17-year-old Daphne Simms (Kaye) learns of her biological father from letters left by her deceased mother. She runs away from her New York home and adopted parents in search of her father in Los Angeles. Unaware of the dangers on the road, she attempts to hitchhike but learns a valuable lesson early. A seemingly nice, middle-aged man offers her a ride then takes her into a deserted area where he tries to take advantage of her. Pneumonia is an inflammatory condition of the lung primarily affecting the small air sacs known as alveoli. ''The Cay'' is an American television film based on the 1969 book of the same name. It was released on October 21, 1974. Plot Phillip is aboard the S.S. ''Hato'', which is torpedoed during World War II. It soon sinks and Phillip awakens on a raft with Timothy, an older black man, and Stew Cat, a stray cat of a crew member on the S.S. ''Hato''. Phillip, who hit his head on the S.S. ''Hato'', soon becomes blind from the head injury. After days on the sea, they notice a Cay in the distance. They all survive on the island, but soon Timothy worries about Phillip if he dies. Timothy prepares him to be self reliant to fish and find food. As the novel goes on, a hurricane hits the Cay.
