Wallis Annenberg Stadium
Wallis Annenberg Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium located on the campus of University of California, Los Angeles. The stadium is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's soccer programs, and replaced Drake Stadium as the home venue for the two programs. Construction on the stadium was funded with private donations, and began in the Fall of 2016. Ahead of the 2018 men's and women's seasons, the stadium opened. The stadium is named for Wallis Annenberg of the Annenberg Foundation. A capacity crowd of 2,237 saw the Bruins defeating the Cal Golden Bears on September 24, 2022. The Lamar Cardinals and Lady Cardinals (variously Cardinals or Cards) refers to the college athletics teams of Lamar University, in Beaumont, Texas. The Cardinals and Lady Cardinals teams compete in seventeen NCAA Division I sports as a member of the Southland Conference. 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament
The 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament was the 40th edition of the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, a postseason tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA Division I women's college soccer. The College Cup was played on December 3 and December 6. It was originally set to be played in San Jose, California, but was moved to Stevens Stadium due to a conflict with the MLS playoffs schedule. The Florida State Seminoles defeated the BYU Cougars on penalty kicks to win the National Championship. Qualification The tournament returned to 64 teams after only featuring 48 teams in the 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
