The Wades are a UK gospel and R&B group from South London. Musical career The band formed in the late 1980s, and was most active from 1987 to 2000. The Wade Trophy is an award presented annually to the best upperclass women's basketball player in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. It is named after three–time national champion Delta State University coach Lily Margaret Wade. The award debuted in 1978 as the first–ever women's national player of the year award in college basketball. Wade Stadium is a baseball park located near the intersection of Grand Avenue and 34th Avenue West in the West Duluth neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. The stadium was built in 1941 and holds 4,200 people. Wade–Giles () is a romanization system for Mandarin Chinese. It developed from a system produced by Thomas Francis Wade, during the mid-19th century, and was given completed form with Herbert A. Giles's '' Chinese–English Dictionary'' of 1892. WADE (1340 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Wadesboro, North Carolina. It is owned by New Life Community Temple of Faith, Inc., and broadcasts an Urban Gospel radio format, with some Christian talk and teaching programs. WADE is simulcast with sister station WDEX 1430 AM in Monroe, North Carolina. History On July 23, 1947, WADE signed on for the first time. ''Wade'' is an Indian 2D animated short film written and directed by Upamanyu Bhattacharyya and Kalp Sanghvi. It follows a group of climate change refugees in Kolkata, India, as they are attacked by an ambush of Royal Bengal Tigers. It imagines futures around sea level rise, global warming, ecological disruption and mass migration. The film was made in Kolkata by Ghost Animation and premiered at the Annecy International Animation Festival 2020, where it won the City of Annecy Award.
