WJKE (101.3 FM, "K-Love") is a contemporary Christian music radio station licensed to Stillwater, New York, United States, and serving Saratoga County as an affiliate of the K-Love network. It is owned by the Educational Media Foundation and broadcasts at 2,900 watts ERP from a tower in Stillwater. In addition to its key coverage area, WJKE is a rimshot into both the Glens Falls/Lake George area and the tri-cities of Albany, Schenectady and Troy. The station previously aired a mainstream AC format, with an emphasis on gold-based soft and upbeat music from the 80s and 90s, along with some currents with the on air branding "Star 101.3". The station debuted an adult CHR format in February 2013, along with the return of The Jockey branding, the station utilize that branding during the early years of AC (1988-1994). Ernie Anastos
Ernie Anastos (born July 12, 1943) is an American news anchor and the host of the show ''Positively America with Ernie Anastos''. He anchored the news at 6 p.m. on WNYW in New York City. He was also the anchor of the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts on Fox 5 News. In 2017, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio honored Anastos by designating every March 21 to be Ernie Anastos Day. WPTR (1240 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Schenectady, New York. The station serves the Capital District of New York. The station is currently owned by the Area Independent Radio, Inc. It airs a classic rock-classic hits radio format. The studios and offices are located at the Via Port Mall in Rotterdam, New York. The transmitter is also in Rotterdam, off West Campbell Road, near the mall. WPTR broadcasts at 1,000 watts, day and night, using a non-directional antenna. WABY (900 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Watervliet, New York and serving the Capital District. The station broadcasts a classic country radio format and is owned by Loud Media. By day, WABY is powered at 400 watts. But because 900 AM is a Mexican clear channel frequency, WABY must reduce power at night to only 70 watts to avoid interference. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. Programming is also heard on FM translator W231DU at 94.1 MHz in Clifton Park. It uses its FM dial position in its moniker, "K94.1." WSSV (1160 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Mechanicville, New York, and serving the Capital District. The station broadcasts a classic hits radio format and is owned by Loud Media. By day, WSSV transmits with 5,000 watts, but because 1160 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for KSL in Salt Lake City, WSSV must greatly reduce power at night to 570 watts. Stillwater is a town in Saratoga County, New York, United States, with a population of 8,287 at the 2010 census. The town contains a village called Stillwater. The town is at the eastern border of the county, southeast of Saratoga Springs and borders both Rensselaer and Washington counties.
