WLVO (FM)
WLVO (95.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a contemporary Christian music format as an affiliate of the K-Love network. Licensed to serve Providence, Rhode Island, United States, it serves the Providence metropolitan area. It first began broadcasting in 1955 under the call sign WPFM, and from 1966 until 2017 operated under the ownership of Brown Broadcasting Service (a non-profit organization run by Brown University students but independent of the university) as alternative rock radio station WBRU (now an Internet radio station). The Outlet Company
The Outlet Company was a corporation based in Providence, Rhode Island, which owned holdings in both retail and broadcasting. The centerpieces of the group was its flagship Providence store (''The Outlet'') and WJAR radio and television, also in Providence. Retail The Outlet Company was formed in 1891 when brothers Joseph and Leon Samuels opened a department store at 176 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Known as ''The Outlet'', it quickly became a Providence landmark to the point of occupying an entire city block and attracting shoppers from all over southern New England. WHJJ
WHJJ (920 kHz, "News Radio 920 & 104.7 FM") is a commercial radio station in Providence, Rhode Island. It carries a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The studios and offices are on Oxford Street in Providence. WHJJ operates at 5,000 watts. The transmitter site is off Wampanoag Trail ( Rhode Island Route 114) in East Providence. A single non-directional tower is used during the day, providing at least secondary coverage to all of Rhode Island and the Massachusetts South Coast. At night, WHJJ switches to a directional antenna using a two tower array to protect other stations on 920 AM and adjacent frequencies. Ultra High Frequency
Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). Rehoboth, Massachusetts
Rehoboth is a historic town in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Established in 1643, Rehoboth is one of the oldest towns in Massachusetts. The population was 12,502 at the 2020 census.
