German Regional Airlines GmbH & Co. KG, operating under the German Airways brand and formerly named ''WDL Aviation'', is a German charter and wet lease aircraft operator, headquartered at Cologne Bonn Airport, and part of the Zeitfracht Group. History Initially named ''WDL Flugdienst'', the company was set up in 1974 as a subsidiary of ''Westdeutsche Luftwerbung GmbH'', an aerial advertising provider founded in 1955. The current name was adopted in 1991, when the parent was reorganized as ''WDL Group''. With WDL Aviation offering aircraft lease and charter services, the aerial advertising and sightseeing flight branch (using blimps) survives in the other subsidiary of WDL Group, which is called ''WDL Luftschiff''. Since 1998, the British Aerospace 146 is in service with WDL Aviation. White Defence League
The White Defence League (WDL) was a British neo-Nazi political party. Using the provocative marching techniques popularised by Oswald Mosley, its members included John Tyndall. Formation The WDL had its roots in Colin Jordan's decision to split from the League of Empire Loyalists in 1957. Jordan had wanted a ban on Jews and non-white members enshrined in the League but this had been rejected by League chief A. K. Chesterton, due to the group's links to the Conservative Party. Jordan further called for the building of a mass party but this too was rejected due to the Tory links. At the time Jordan was also close to the Britons Publishing Society and both groups ran out of Arnold Leese House, the name given to 74 Princedale Road, the Notting Hill home of the late Imperial Fascist League leader which Leese's widow Mary allowed Jordan to use as his base of operations. Woodlands MRT Station
Woodlands MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) and Thomson–East Coast (TEL) lines in Singapore. Located in Woodlands, the MRT station was the first to feature an underground bus interchange underneath the NSL station. The station is also integrated with surrounding developments, including Causeway Point and the Woodlands Civic Centre. The NSL station was first announced in November 1991 as part of the Woodlands MRT extension. Completed on 10 February 1996, the elevated station has a circular, barrel-like roof with beige and green tiles. Min Chan's ''Faces II'' sculpture is displayed near the station. With the opening of TEL Stage 1 on 31 January 2020, Woodlands station became an interchange station with the TEL. The World Digital Library (WDL) is an international digital library operated by UNESCO and the United States Library of Congress. The WDL has stated that its mission is to promote international and intercultural understanding, expand the volume and variety of cultural content on the Internet, provide resources for educators, scholars, and general audiences, and to build capacity in partner institutions to narrow the digital divide within and among countries. It aims to expand non-English and non-western content on the Internet, and contribute to scholarly research.
