Wrap Me Up (Alex Party Song)
"Wrap Me Up" is a song recorded by Italian dance music act Alex Party with vocals by British singer Robin 'Shanie' Campbell, who also co-wrote the lyrics. It was released in September 1995 as the third single from their debut and only album, ''Alex Party'' (1996), and became a top-twenty hit in both the UK and Australia. The single also peaked at number one in Italy, number six in Spain and number 15 in Finland. The accompanying music video first aired in October 1995. Alex Party was an Italian electronic dance group. The band consisted of the Italian brothers Paolo and Gianni Visnadi (also of Livin' Joy), DJ Alex Natale, and vocalist, singer and songwriter Shanie' Campbell. Their most famous single to date is "Don't Give Me Your Life", a #2 hit in both the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom in early 1995. The group's first single, " Saturday Night Party (Read My Lips)", was an immediate success, and became an Ibiza anthem during the summer of 1993. It became their first Top 40 hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at #29. In music, a radio edit or radio mix is a modification, typically truncated or censored, intended to make a song more suitable for airplay, whether it be adjusted for length, profanity, subject matter, instrumentation, or form. Radio edits may also be used for commercial single versions, which may be denoted as the ''7" version'', as opposed to the '' 12" version'' which are extended versions of a song. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. The European Dance Radio Chart (also known as European Dance Radio Top 25) was a weekly chart compiled by pan-European magazine ''Music & Media''.
