World Port Tournament
The World Port Tournament was an international baseball tournament held at the ''Neptunus Familiestadion'' in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The tournament was held every other year ( excluded) in odd-numbered years since , alternating with the Haarlem Baseball Week. The last edition of the tournament was held in 2019, with subsequent editions cancelled. The tournament was created by Bram Peper, who was asked by Cuban Dr. Oscar Ferdinand Mell to organize an international baseball tournament, between national baseball teams all over the world, in Rotterdam. The Netherlands won the most recent edition of the tournament. 2007 World Port Tournament
The 2007 World Port Tournament was an international baseball competition held at the DOOR Neptunus Familiestadion in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from August 2–12, 2007. It was the 11th edition of the tournament and featured teams from Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Japan, the Netherlands and the United States. Cuba won the tournament with a 2–0 victory over the Chinese Taipei in the championship game. Yosvani Pérez was named the tournament's most valuable player. The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) is the international Sports governing body, governing body for the sports of baseball, softball, Baseball5 and Blind baseball.
