Sadness is an emotional pain associated with, or characterized by, feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, grief, helplessness, disappointment and sorrow. An individual experiencing sadness may become quiet or lethargic, and withdraw themselves from others. An example of severe sadness is depression, a mood which can be brought on by major depressive disorder or persistent depressive disorder. Crying can be an indication of sadness. Sadness is one of the six basic emotions described by Paul Ekman, along with happiness, anger, surprise, fear, and disgust. Childhood Sadness is a common experience in childhood. Some families may have a (conscious or unconscious) rule that sadness is "not allowed", but Robin Skynner has suggested that this may cause problems, arguing that with sadness "screened off", people can become shallow and manic. Pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton suggests that acknowledging sadness can make it ...

Woe (song)
Say Anything is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and his friends, and within two years, they had self-released two EPs and a full-length album. In 2003, the band signed with their first label, Doghouse Records. A year later, they released their second album, '' ...Is a Real Boy''. To support the album, they picked up new members and began touring; however, despite rapidly growing critical and fan acclaim, Bemis' health problems, including bipolar disorder and drug addictions, sidelined the band in 2005 as five band members left during the year. Say Anything signed with J Records in 2005 and, following Bemis' successful rehabilitation, re-released ''...Is a Real Boy'' with their new label. They went on co-headlining tours with Saves the Day in 2006 and Hellogoodbye in 2007. In 2008, Say Anything went on a headlining tour across the US and UK and appeared on every date of Warped Tour. Woes Of The Pharisees
The Woes of the Pharisees are series of criticisms by Jesus against scribes and Pharisees recorded in Luke 11:37–54 and Matthew 23:1–39. Mark 12:35–40 and Luke 20:45–47 also include warnings about scribes. Eight are listed in Matthew, and hence Matthew's version is known as the eight woes. These are found in Matthew 23 verses 13–16, 23, 25, 27 and 29. Only six are given in Luke, whose version is thus known as the six woes: three are directed to the Pharisees and three to the scribes. The woes mostly criticise the Pharisees for hypocrisy and perjury. They illustrate the differences between inner and outer moral states. Context and background The woes are mentioned twice in the narratives in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. In Matthew they are mentioned after Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where he teaches in the Temple, while in Luke they are mentioned after the Lord's Prayer is given and the disciples are first sent out over the land. Before introducing th ...

Woes To The Unrepentant Cities
The "Woes to the unrepentant cities" is a set of significant passages in The Gospel of Matthew and Luke that record Jesus' pronouncement of judgement on several Galilean cities that have rejected his message despite witnessing His miracles. This episode marks a crucial moment in Jesus' ministry, highlighting the consequences of refusing to repent and the responsibility that comes with receiving divine revelation. Jesus' criticism of these cities reflects His frustration with their lack of faith and unwillingness to change, despite the numerous signs and wonders He performed among them. These passages provide insight into Jesus' expectations for His followers and the seriousness with which He viewed the rejection of His message. Text Matthew's account Luke's account Historical Context The Galilean Cities # Chorazin: Located about two miles north of the Sea of Galilee, Chorazin was a small town known for its basalt stone buildings. Norman's Woe
Norman's Woe is a rock reef on Cape Ann in Gloucester, Massachusetts, about 500 feet offshore. It has been the site of a number of ship wrecks including the ''Rebecca Ann'' in March, 1823 during a snowstorm. Another was the wreck of the schooner ''Favorite'' out of Wiscasset, Maine, in December 1839. It is the subject of an 1872 painting ''Off Norman's Woe'', by Edward Moran. In fiction, it is the site of "The Wreck of the Hesperus", a narrative poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Its maximum elevation is , but at high tide much of the reef is awash and so is concealed. This may have contributed to the number of wrecks at the site. A bell buoy is placed about 1000 feet ESE of the rock. References
