Condition Critical
''Condition Critical'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Quiet Riot. Released in 1984, it was not nearly as successful as its predecessor (1983's ''Metal Health'') in either fan reaction or sales. However, it did sell over one million copies, peaking at 15 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 album chart. Like the band's previous album, ''Condition Critical'' features a Slade cover song as the second track. While the previous album included a cover of " Cum On Feel the Noize", this album contains " Mama Weer All Crazee Now". Tracks "Party All Night" (also known as "Party All Nite") and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" had music videos made for them, both receiving some airplay on TV. The same man with a metal mask from the last album cover is on this cover as well as many of the band's subsequent album covers, establishing him as the band's mascot. The character also has cameos in both aforementioned music videos. The track "Stomp Your Hands, Clap Your Feet" shar ... Winners Take All (album)
Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Kelly Garni, and vocalist Kevin DuBrow. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. Their most commercially successful lineup consisted of DuBrow alongside guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali, and in 1983 released their breakthrough album ''Metal Health'', which is known for being the first heavy metal album to top the ''Billboard'' album chart. The band had several hit singles which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Cum On Feel the Noize", "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" (both cover songs of the glam rock band Slade), and " Metal Health (Bang Your Head)". The band is ranked at No. 100 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Des ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The Winner Takes It All
"The Winner Takes It All" is a song recorded by Swedish music recording group ABBA. Released as the lead single from the group's seventh studio album, '' Super Trouper'' (1980) on 21 July 1980, it is a ballad in the key of G-flat major, reflecting on the end of a relationship. Penned by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, it features Agnetha Fältskog on lead vocals. The single's B-side was the non-album track " Elaine". Although Ulvaeus has denied the song being about his divorce from Fältskog, he has stated the song is about the experience of a divorce. Continuing ABBA's streak of successful singles, "The Winner Takes It All" topped the charts in Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, where in the lattermost country became their eighth number one hit. The single also became ABBA's fourth and final top ten chart hit in the United States, peaking at number 8 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It has since become one of the group's most enduring hits. Winner Takes All (album)
''Winner Takes All'' is a studio album by the Isley Brothers, released on T-Neck Records on August 21, 1979. It was their first and only double album. The album included the number-one R&B hit, " I Wanna Be With You" and the top 20 UK disco hit, " It's a Disco Night (Rock Don't Stop)". The album was remastered and expanded for inclusion in the 2015 released CD box set ''The RCA Victor & T-Neck Album Masters, 1959-1983''. The album continued the brothers' trademark of mixing uptempo funk numbers with softer soul balladry. However, their sound now included elements of disco. While some of their music had pioneered the genre, ''Winner Takes All'' was the first album to embrace disco rhythms. The disco element helped songs such as "I Wanna Be With You" and "It's a Disco Night (Rock Don't Stop)" become hits. However, the band did not release any ballads from the album, making it one of the few times since 1973 that they not release a ballad as a single. However, ballads like "You're ... The Turbo A
''The'' is a grammatical article in English, denoting nouns that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic pronoun ''thee' ... ''Winner Take All'' is an American radio-television game show that ran from June 3, 1946, to 1952 on CBS and NBC. It was the first game show produced by the Mark Goodson-Bill Todman partnership. The series was originally hosted by Ward Wilson, but is best known for being the first game hosted by Bill Cullen. Contestants were selected from the audience to compete for prizes. In July 1952, CBS launched a Saturday night version of the show, in addition to the regular Monday-Friday daytime broadcasts.
