Wing Chun (TV Series)
''Wing Chun'' () is a 2006 Television Broadcasts Limited, TVB TV series starring Nicholas Tse. The series concluded filming in 2007. It featured actors Nicholas Tse, Yuen Biao, Anson Leung, Ji Chunhua, Sammo Hung and his youngest son, Sammy Hung. Plot The story revolved around the elderly Leung Jan and his life in Foshan during the late Qing dynasty. The show follows the life of Leung Bik, the eager but impulsive son of Leung Jan, the local doctor and martial art master. The father and son clash head frequently as Leung Bik desires to learn martial arts but his father wants him to study medicine like his brother Leung Chun. On the other end, there is Ko Ming a poor disciple of a drunken master who has traveled all the way to Fo Shan to find his long lost sister. Chan Wah-shun
Chan Wah-shun ( 1836 – 1913), nicknamed Money Changer Wah (找錢華) and Money Clutcher Wah (爪錢華), was a student of the Wing Chun grandmaster Leung Jan (梁贊). He is noted for being the martial arts teacher of Ip Man. Background Born in Shunde District, Foshan in 1836, Chan ran a currency exchange stall near Dit Da and Wing Chun practitioner Leung Jan's herbal medicine clinic in Foshan. Leung Bik (born Leung Bik-wo with the courtesy name Tai-wah; 1843 – 1911), also known as Mr. Bik (), was a Wing Chun martial artist. He was one of Ip Man's teachers. Leung Jan (born Leung Tak-wing; 1826–1901) was a Chinese martial artist and Wing Chun practitioner from Heshan, Guangdong. He was known in Foshan as ''Mr. Jan of Foshan'' and ''King of Wing Chun Kuen''. Leung Jan is one of the earliest well-documented practitioners of Wing Chun, which was mainly passed down verbally from teacher to student prior to Leung Jan.
