Will Dagger
William Dagger (born 21 February 1999) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays for York Knights in the RFL Championship. He has previously played for the Warrington Wolves, Hull Kingston Rovers and Wakefield Trinity in the Super League. Dagger has spent time on loan from Hull KR at the York City Knights in League 1, and at the Leigh Centurions and Featherstone Rovers in the Championship. Super League XXVIII, known as the 2023 Betfred Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the 28th season of the Super League and 129th season of rugby league in Great Britain. The season began on 16 February 2023, and ended with the Grand Final on 14 October 2023. St Helens were the reigning champions after winning their 4th successive title, beating Leeds Rhinos in the 2022 Grand Final. They were eliminated in the semi final, losing 6–12 to Catalans Dragons. The Wigan Warriors is an English professional rugby league club based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. The club competes in the Super League, the top tier of the British rugby league system. Formed in 1872, the club is a founding member of the Rugby Football League, Northern Rugby Football Union following the schism in 1895.
