Wilhelm Brückner (murderer)
Wilhelm Brückner was a German spree killer who killed nine members of his family in Hassenberg and Lindenberg, Germany, during the night of June 6 to June 7, 1925, before committing suicide. He used an axe and a kitchen knife. A posthumous evaluation described him as a "hysteric epileptic", suffering from mental retardation but also mental illness with auditory hallucinations. Biography Brückner had been a life-long resident of Hassenberg, near Coburg. Around 1905, when he was about 10 years old, Brückner and his father were struck by lightning. Karl Denke (11 February 1860 – 22 December 1924) was a German serial killer and cannibal who killed and cannibalized dozens of homeless vagrants and travellers from 1903 to 1924. He has been nicknamed the Cannibal of Münsterberg and the Forgotten Cannibal. Friedrich Heinrich Karl "Fritz" Haarmann (25 October 1879 – 15 April 1925) was a German serial rapist and serial killer, known as the Butcher of Hanover, the Vampire of Hanover and the Wolf Man, who committed the sexual assault, murder, mutilation and dismemberment of at least twenty-four young men and boys in the city of Hanover between 1918 and 1924.
