"Wide Open Space" is a song by Chester rock band Mansun, released as a single on 25 November 1996. The song was the lead track of ''Four EP''. The single's success led to alternative versions appearing on four of the next five Mansun singles. These versions were one live, one acoustic, and two remixes, the first and most popular by Perfecto, and a NRG version by The Trouser Enthusiasts. A completely different version credited to longtime engineer Mike Hunter was included as a hidden bonus track on their compilation ''Kleptomania''. The song also appears on ''The Sound of Gran Turismo'', a soundtrack album based on '' Gran Turismo''. Mansun
Mansun were an English alternative rock band, formed in Chester in 1995. The band comprised vocalist/rhythm guitarist Paul Draper (musician), Paul Draper, bassist Stove King, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dominic Chad, and drummer Andie Rathbone. It was announced in May 2003 that the band had split up earlier that year, whilst in the process of recording their fourth album, and some of their archival recording of the album later released on their final album, ''Kleptomania (album), Kleptomania'' (2004). Manic Street Preachers, also known simply as the Manics, are a Wales, Welsh Rock music, rock band formed in Blackwood, Caerphilly, in 1986. Ed O'Brien
Edward John O'Brien (born 15 April 1968) is an English guitarist, songwriter, and member of the rock band Radiohead. He releases solo music under the name EOB. O'Brien attended Abingdon School in Oxfordshire, England, where he formed Radiohead with schoolmates. O'Brien said his role was to "service the songs" and support the songwriter, Thom Yorke. He often creates ambient sounds and textures, using effects, sustain units and the EBow, and provides backing vocals. Cream was a music promotion trio (Darren Hughes, James Barton and Andy Carroll) that originally began hosting a weekly house music club night (1992–2002) at the now-demolished Nation nightclub (formerly ''Snobs Disco'') in Wolstenholme Square in Liverpool. It ran in this format from October 1992 to June 2002. Cream has counted Steve Lawler and Yousef amongst its resident DJs. Cream also hosts the dance music festival Creamfields every August in Daresbury, Cheshire.
