"Why Wait" is a song written by Neil Thrasher, Tom Shapiro, and Jimmy Yeary and recorded by American country music band Rascal Flatts. It was released in August 2010 as the first single from the band's 2010 album '' Nothing Like This''. It is also their first single from Big Machine Records. Content The protagonist attempts to convince his lover to run off to Las Vegas with him to get married. Music video The music video, directed by William Zabka, was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, following a story reminiscent of the comedy film ''The Hangover''. Rascal Flatts
Rascal Flatts is an American Country music, country music band formed in 1999 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of Gary LeVox (lead vocals), Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, background vocals), and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, background vocals). DeMarcus is LeVox's second cousin, a brother-in-law of country music singer James Otto, and was previously a member of the contemporary Christian music duo East to West. LeVox and DeMarcus are natives of Columbus, Ohio. From 2000 to 2010, the band recorded for Disney Music Group's former Lyric Street Records division. Scott Thompson (born February 25, 1965), known professionally as Carrot Top, is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is widely known for his use of prop comedy. Early life Thompson was born in Rockledge, Florida, and grew up in Cocoa. He is the younger of two sons, and his father is a NASA engineer. He went to Cocoa High School where he played drums in the marching and concert band. He graduated in 1983. He got the nickname "Carrot Top" from a local swimming coach, a reference to his red hair, which would become one of his trademarks in later life.
