Whiskas
Whiskas (formerly known as Kal Kan) is a brand of cat food sold internationally. It is owned by the American company Mars Inc. It is available either as small meaty pieces in sauce, gravy or jelly packaged in tins, foil trays or pouches, as well as in the form of small biscuits sold in cartons or pouches and milk sold in small bottles. Its packaging has a recognizable purple colour, and its logo consists of a stylized silhouette of a cat's head. History Whiskas, originally known as Kal Kan, started manufacturing pet foods in 1936 from its headquarters near Los Angeles, California. It eventually grew its operations across the United States. Commercial For Cats
''Commercial for Cats'', also known as ''The First Ever Commercial for Cats'', is a 1999 British television advertisement for the cat food brand Whiskas, used in the launch of its wet cat food range Whiskas Singles. The 40-second advertisement, directed by Jason Fisher-Jones and created by the agency M&C Saatchi, was novel for featuring an abstract arrangement of visuals and sounds intended for viewing by cats, in attempt to stimulate their senses. Garry Hocking
Garry Andrew Hocking (born 8 October 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Tough and skilled in equal measure, Hocking was an integral part of Geelong's midfield who was recognised at both club and League level as one of the finest players of the 1990s, winning club best and fairests, All-Australian honours and finishing top three in the Brownlow Medal vote count on four occasions. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the self-regulatory organisation of the advertising industry in the United Kingdom. Red Stripe is a 4.7% ABV pale lager brewed by Desnoes & Geddes in Jamaica and the Netherlands. Pretty Polly is a British brand of women's tights based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. History The company began in 1919 when Harry Hibbert and Oswald Buckland built a factory in Sutton-in-Ashfield, near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. In 1926 they took over a hosiery wholesaling company that was previously owned by the daughter of a bookmaker who had gained financially from the racehorse '' Pretty Polly''.
