Wakeel Allah
Wakeel Allah is an American author, and a member of the Nation of Islam. He is best known for his books ''In the Name of Allah: A History of Clarence 13X and the Five Percenters Vol. 1'', and his subsequent book ''In the Name of Allah: A History of Clarence 13X and the Five Percenters Vol. 2''. Life Wakeel Allah was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ, and joined the Five-Percent Nation as a freshman at Plainfield High School (New Jersey), Plainfield High School. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta and became a prominent advocate of Five Percenter and Nation of Islam teachings and was responsible for recruiting distinguished members to both movements. Wakeel Allah and Dr. Wesley Muhammad founded the organization known as the Allah Team, which is a society of Islamic educators, activists, artists, and cultural influencers. Clarence 13X
Clarence Edward Smith (February 22, 1928 – June 13, 1969), better known as Clarence 13X and Allah, was an American religious leader and the founder of the Five-Percent Nation. He was born in Virginia and moved to New York City as a young man, before serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. After returning to New York, he learned that his wife had joined the Nation of Islam (NOI) and followed her, taking the name Clarence 13X. He served in the group as a security officer, martial arts instructor, and student minister before leaving for an unclear reason in 1963. He enjoyed gambling, which was condemned by the NOI, and disagreed with the NOI's teachings that Wallace Fard Muhammad was a divine messenger. The Fruit of Islam (FOI) is the security and disciplinary wing of the Nation of Islam (NOI). It has also been described as its paramilitary wing. The Fruit of Islam wear distinctive blue, brown or white uniforms and caps and have units at all NOI temples. Louis Farrakhan, as head of the Nation of Islam, is commander-in-chief of the Fruit of Islam, and his son, Mustapha Farrakhan Sr., is second in command as the Supreme Captain.
