WWCD (album)
''WWCD'' (an acronym for ''What Would ChineGun Do'') is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Griselda. It was released on November 29, 2019, by Griselda, Shady, and Interscope. Background The album is entirely produced by Daringer and Beat Butcha, and features guest appearances from 50 Cent, Eminem, Raekwon, Keisha Plum, Novel, and Tiona Deniece. ''WWCD'' was titled in-part after late-rapper Machine Gun Black, the half-brother of group member Benny the Butcher, and cousin of Conway the Machine. The album does not contain any samples. Its lead single, "Dr. Bird's", was released on October 18, 2019. The second single, "Chef Dreds", was released on November 8, 2019. Upon release, ''WWCD'' debuted at number eight on the ''Billboard'' Rap Albums and number nine on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. It also received positive critical reception. Griselda Records
Griselda Records (also Griselda x Fashion Rebels; GXFR) is an American independent hip hop record label based in Buffalo, New York. It was founded by rapper Westside Gunn, his brother Conway the Machine, and Mach-Hommy in 2012. In addition to the founding members, Benny the Butcher and in-house producer Daringer make up the flagship artists of the Griselda Records roster. The name Griselda comes from drug lord Griselda Blanco. "Griselda" also refers to a loose-knit hip hop collective composed of the core signees of the label, amongst others. The collective's ''de facto'' leader is the label's founder Westside Gunn. Luis Edgardo Resto (born July 22, 1961) is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and keyboardist who has worked closely with rapper Eminem since his third major-label album ''The Eminem Show''. Westside Gunn
Alvin Lamar Worthy (born July 27, 1982), known professionally as Westside Gunn, is an American Rapping, rapper and fashion designer. He co-founded the Independent record label, hip-hop record label Griselda Records in 2012 with his paternal half-brother Conway the Machine and their cousin and fellow rapper Benny the Butcher. Since 2005, he has released five studio albums in addition to a wide catalog of mixtapes and extended plays. Gunn was affiliated with Shady Records from 2017 to 2020, but has since returned to independent work.
