Viikki ( sv, Vik) is a neighbourhood of about 15,000 inhabitants in Helsinki, Finland. It is located at the bottom of ''Vanhankaupunginlahti'' bay, some 7–10 km from the city centre. The district hosts the Viikki Campus with four of the faculties of the University of Helsinki (biosciences, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and agriculture and forestry) as well as other university units such as research centres, science library and teacher training school. Viikki is known for its natural environment. The conservation area of ''Vanhankaupunginlahti'' is an important place of nesting and migration for birds. Large fields and farmlands are cultivated by a teaching farm that is part of the university's agricultural faculty. Southernmost part of the Latokartano residential zone is known as an "ecological housing" area. The city of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, can be divided into various sorts of subdivisions. Itäkeskus
Itäkeskus ( sv, Östra centrum, literal translation ''East center'') is a '' quarter'' in the neighbourhood of Vartiokylä (as of the 1980s) in Helsinki, Finland. The district's main attraction is the largest covered-in shopping mall in the Nordic countries, Itis, which make Itäkeskus as the most significant commercial center of East Helsinki. The district has a station on the Helsinki Metro ( Itäkeskus metro station), whose eastern entrance at the Tallinnanaukio square leads to the shopping centre. Itäkeskus has the eastern terminus of bus lines 500 and 550; the western terminus of line 500 is Munkkivuori and line 550 is Espoo's Westend bus station. Construction of the Jokeri light rail, which replaces bus line 550, began in 2019 and traffic is scheduled to begin in 2024. Jokeri Light Rail
Jokeri light rail ( fi, Raide-Jokeri, sv, Spårjokern) is an under-construction light rail line which began construction in June 2019, which will serve the Finnish cities of Helsinki and Espoo. The line will replace the current bus line 550, the busiest bus service on the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority public transport network. Oulunkylä Railway Station
Oulunkylä railway station ( fi, Oulunkylän rautatieasema, sv, Åggelby järnvägsstation) is a railway station in the Oulunkylä district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Käpylä and Pukinmäki, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about north of the Helsinki Central railway station. The station building in Oulunkylä is no longer in use for train traffic, and the station does not have ticket sales.
