Victoria Nicolls
Victoria Nicolls, (born February 1954) often misspelt as Victoria Nicholls, is an Australian actress and television personality. Nicolls is well remembered by viewers for appearing in the Australian game show ''Sale of the Century (Australian game show), Sale of the Century'' as a hostess from 1980 to 1982. She is also noted for her dramatic roles, such as Raeleen Archer in ''The Restless Years'' in the late 1970s, and as officer Heather Rodgers in ''Prisoner (TV series), Prisoner'' in 1984. In 1995 she was a leading cast member of the soap opera ''Echo Point (TV series), Echo Point''. ''Something in the Air'' is an Australian television soap opera transmitted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2002. It was one of the first programs in Australia that was filmed in widescreen. It won the AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series in 2001. The series initially screened four episodes weekly, Monday to Thursday at 6:30 pm and received moderate success. Ratings began to drop after the show was moved to Saturday evenings in which it was cut down to two episodes shown in a one-hour block. It later resumed its usual weekly run, however, it was screened in a 6:00 pm timeslot which ultimately led to its cancellation. The series was repeated on the-then ABC2 from 11 February 2008. ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' was a long-running variety television program on Australian television. It initially ran for 28 years on the Nine Network from 9 October 1971 to 20 November 1999, with a recess in 1978. Its host throughout its entire run was Daryl Somers, who later also became executive producer of the program.
