"Verge" is a song by American electronica project Owl City from his fifth studio album '' Mobile Orchestra''. It features guest vocals from American singer Aloe Blacc and was released on May 14, 2015 as the lead single from the album. Background After the song was previewed on ESPN's ''Draft Academy'' on May 5, it was announced that "Verge", featuring Aloe Blacc would be released on May 14 as the album's first single. A lyric video of "Verge" was later published on Owl City's VEVO channel on YouTube on May 13, 2015. Owl City
Owl City is an American electronic music project created in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota. It is one of several projects by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young, who created the project while experimenting with music in his parents' basement. Owl City developed a following on the social networking site MySpace, like many musicians who achieved success in the late 2000s, before signing with Universal Republic Records, now Republic Records, in 2008. After two independent releases, Owl City gained mainstream popularity with his 2009 major-label debut album, '' Ocean Eyes'', which includes the six-time Platinum single " Fireflies". The album was certified Platinum in the United States in April 2010. Dorian Tomasiak (born 6 June 1993), known professionally as Tom Swoon (and previously as Pixel Cheese), is a Polish former DJ and record producer. Tom Swoon used to host Lift Off Radio on Electro City on Dash Radio. He debuted in the ''DJ Mag''s 2015 Top 100 DJs voting poll as No. 46. On 5 December 2017, Tomasiak drove drunk and was charged in a car accident that led to the death of one person and injured another. On 6 June 2018, Tomasiak announced the end of the "Tom Swoon" project in a public statement letter sent from prison. He was later sentenced to four years and eight months of prison.
