Marco Velo (born 9 March 1974 in Brescia) is a retired Italian professional road bicycle racer. Professional career Velo, who started his career with Brescialat, is a talented time-trialist, winning the Italian National Time Trial Championship on three occasions—1998, 1999 and 2000. Since 2002, Velo has ridden as a domestique for Alessandro Petacchi, first at Fassa Bortolo. In 2005, Velo wanted to go join Matteo Tosatto at the Quick Step team, but in the end joined Petacchi at the Domina Vacanze team, but when that disbanded at the end of the year, they both moved to Milram at the start of 2006. Michael Velo (22 May 1851 – November 1929) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for the Coalition Party (Norway), Coalition Party. Born in Jevnaker as a son of farmers Erik Olsen Velo and Karen Olsdatter, he graduated from Asker Seminary in 1869 and worked as a teacher until 1882. He then settled in Larvik to become a businessman. He was the manager of Larvik Potetmelfabrikk from 1898. He was a member of Larvik municipal council (Norway), city council from 1889 to 1909, serving eight years as mayor. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1906 Norwegian parliamentary election, 1906, representing the urban constituency of ''Larvik og Sandefjord''. ''Le Vélo'' was the leading French sports newspaper from its inception on 1 December 1892 until it ceased publication in 1904. Mixing sports reporting with news and political comment, it achieved a circulation of 80,000 copies a day. Its use of sporting events as promotional tools led to the creation of the Paris–Roubaix cycle race in 1896, and the popularisation of the Bordeaux–Paris cycle race during the 1890s. Velo ( el, Βέλο) is a town and a former municipality in Corinthia, Peloponnese (region), Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Velo-Vocha, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 76.952 km2. It is situated on the Gulf of Corinth coast, about 15 km west from Corinth, and 5 km southeast of Kiato. Greek National Road 8, the old Corinth-Patras highway, passes through the town. VeloBind
VeloBind is a type of book binding often offered at copy and print shops. Velobinding involves punching several small holes along the edge of an unbound book. A strip of plastic with rigid tines is inserted into the holes from the top of the book, and a strip with corresponding holes is placed on the back with the tines protruding through. The book is then placed in a machine that holds the book tightly while the excess length of the tines is cut and the tips melted to seal the bind. The term "VeloBind" is a trademark of the General Binding Corporation, but is regularly used generically to refer to this process, though strip binding is also sometimes used.
