Vassilis Karapialis ( el, Βασίλης Καραπιάλης; born 13 June 1965) is a Greek retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for Larissa, Olympiacos Piraeus and the Greece national football team. He is considered as one of the best Greek midfielders of the 1990s. Vassilis Lymberis ( el, Βασίλης Λυμπέρης; 1945 – 25 August 1972) was a Greek mass murderer who killed his wife, his two children, and his mother-in-law, by burning down his family home in January 1972. Lymberis was executed for the crime via firing squad, and was the last person to be executed by Greece prior to the abolition of capital punishment. Vasilis Logothetidis (Greek: Βασίλης Λογοθετίδης; 1897 – 20 February 1960) was a Greek comedian. He is considered one of the most significant modern Greek actors. Logothetidis was born as Vasilis Tavlaridis (Βασίλης Ταυλαρίδης) in 1897 in Myriophyton, a village in Eastern Thrace close to Istanbul. One year after graduating from high school, in 1916, he started to participate as an amateur actor in local shows. Vassilis Krommidas ( el, Βασίλης Κρομμύδας, born July 4, 1970, in Thessaloniki) is a triathlete and coach from Greece best known for competing at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. Krommidas is a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences. He started his competitive career as a swimmer at the age of ten and later became a member of the Greek national swimming team. He took up triathlon in 1989. Vasilis Konstantinou ( el, Βασίλης Κωνσταντίνου; born 19 November 1947) is a former Greek football goalkeeper whose career spanned three decades: the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Club career Born in Marousi, Konstantinou played football for Panathinaikos' youth team before becoming the back-up goalkeeper and under study of Takis Ikonomopoulos. He filled in successfully for his "mentor" when the situation called for it as was the case in the European Cup semi-finals against Red Star Belgrade (3-0) which sent PAO to the final.
