Vangelis Mourikis
Vangelis Mourikis ( el, Βαγγέλης Μουρίκης) is a Greek film actor. He has appeared in more than thirty films since 1982. He studied in Australia where he did his first works. In 1990s he returned to Greece and devoted himself to independent cinema. He has won seven awards both leading and supporting actor. He has collaborated with many directors of new Greek cinema including Thodoros Maragos, Yannis Economides, Nikos Grammatikos, Pantelis Voulgaris, Athina Rachel Tsangari Athina Rachel Tsangari (, ; born 2 April 1966) is a Greek filmmaker. Thodoros Maragos or (alternative form in Latin alphabet) Marangos ( el, Θόδωρος Μαραγκός; born in Filiatra in 1944) is a Greek film director. His work spans film, TV and documentaries. He is best known for his film ''Learn How to Read and Write, Son'' (in Greek: Μάθε παιδί μου γράμματα), a satire on fascism and one of the best anti-Junta films of all time. He has won four awards in the 14th Thessaloniki Film Festival (September 24–30, 1973) for his movie ''Get on Your Mark'' (original title in Greek: Λάβετε θέσεις). His box office major success, the 1981 film ''Learn How to Read and Write, Son'', has also won four awards in the 22nd Thessaloniki Festival (October 5–11, 1981). The Sarajevo Film Festival is the premier and largest film festival in Southeast Europe, and is one of the largest film festivals in Europe. It was founded in Sarajevo in 1995 during the siege of Sarajevo in the Bosnian War, and brings international and local celebrities to Sarajevo every year. Greek State Film Awards
The Greek State Film Awards ( el, Κρατικά Βραβεία Κινηματογράφου) was a part of Thessaloniki International Film Festival concerning exclusively Greek movies. It was one of the most important events in Greek cinema, from its institution in 1992 until 2008. Until 1991, only Greek movies participated in the Thessaloniki Film Festival. Since 1992 the festival became international and a separate award was instituted for Greek movies. At first the new award was named State Film Awards and later State Film Quality Awards (Κρατικά Κινηματογραφικά Βραβεία Ποιότητας). It was given out by the Greek Ministry of Culture. 70th Berlin Film Festival
The 70th annual Berlin International Film Festival took place from 20 February to 1 March 2020. It was the first under the leadership of new Berlin Film Festival heads, business administration director Mariette Rissenbeek and artistic director Carlo Chatrian.
