Val Williams
Val Williams is a British curator and author who has become an authority on British photography. She is the Professor of the History and Culture of Photography at the London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts London, and was formerly the Curator of Exhibitions and Collections at the Hasselblad Center. Life and work Williams has curated the work of Martin Parr and Daniel Meadows. She "has championed Meadows' work for years even as most British institutions have ignored it". Williams curated the influential Tate Britain show ''How We Are: Photographing Britain.'' She has also written on the representation of women, and work by women photographers. Curator
A curator (from la, cura, meaning "to take care") is a manager or overseer. When working with cultural organizations, a curator is typically a "collections curator" or an "exhibitions curator", and has multifaceted tasks dependent on the particular institution and its mission. In recent years the role of curator has evolved alongside the changing role of museums, and the term "curator" may designate the head of any given division. More recently, new kinds of curators have started to emerge: "community curators", "literary curators", " digital curators" and " biocurators". Hans Danuser (artist)
Hans Danuser (born in 1953 in Chur) is a Swiss artist and photographer. His first major work, the cycle ''In Vivo'', brought him international fame, therein he broke several societal taboos with respect to genetic research and nuclear physics. Frances Lincoln Publishers
Frances Elisabeth Rosemary Lincoln (20 March 1945 – 26 February 2001) was an English independent publisher of illustrated books. She published under her own name and the company went on to become Frances Lincoln Publishers. In 1995, Lincoln won the ''Woman of the Year for Services to Multicultural Publishing'' award.
