Austin Voth
Austin Lee Voth ( ; born June 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, and Seattle Mariners. Voth was drafted by the Nationals in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB draft and made hs MLB debut in 2018. Amateur career Voth attended Kentwood High School, where he helped the Conquerors win the 2010 state baseball championship. He was named to the Seattle Times' "All-Area team." Voth played college baseball at the University of Washington for the Huskies from 2011 to 2013. In 2011 and 2012, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league all-star in 2011. Henry Voth
Heinrich (Henry) Richert Voth (15 April 1855 – 2 June 1931) was an ethnographer and Mennonite missionary and minister. He was born in Alexanderwohl, Southern Russia. Voth was sent by the Mission Board of the General Conference Mennonite Church to work among the Arapaho and the Hopi people. Life and career Voth learned the Arapaho language and customs at Darlington, Indian Territory, near Fort Reno, where he worked from June 1882 to January 1892. Voth was made superintendent in 1884. He married Barbara Baer from the mission the same year, they had a daughter, Frieda. His wife died in 1889. Voth married Martha Moser, who had also worked at Darlington, in 1892 and they both went to work at Oraibi with the 3rd mesa Hopi, Northern Arizona the next year. Martha Voth died in 1901. Henry Voth had witnessed the Ghost Dance revivalism among his Arapaho congregation. He collected objects and later sold them to the Bureau of American Ethnology. Distant Origin
"Distant Origin" is the 65th episode of '' Star Trek: Voyager'', the 23rd episode of the third season. The episode aired on UPN on April 30, 1997. ''Voyager'' encounters an alien race, but runs afoul of their principles. The Voth are humanoid lizards, and the plot revolves around one particular scientist who has taken an interest in studying Voth origins. Plot On the planet where ''Voyager''s crew had previously been marooned, Professor Gegen and his assistant Veer, two paleontologists of a space-faring saurian species known as the Voth, discover the skeletal remains of a human, most likely Lt. Hogan. Julia Voth (born May 16, 1985) is a Canadian actress and model. She is best-known for her roles in the 2009 film ''Bitch Slap'' and the TV-series ''Package Deal'', as well as for being the character-model for Jill Valentine for a number of the ''Resident Evil'' video-games. Career Modeling Voth's modeling career began in 1999 when she attended a modeling convention in Vancouver where she was discovered by an agent from Tokyo. Brad Voth
Brad Voth (born February 25, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Career Voth played junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League from 1996 to 2001. In the 1998 NHL Entry Draft he was selected 157th overall in the 6th round by St. Louis Blues. He spent two season with the Blues organization, playing for their American Hockey League affiliate the Worcester IceCats and their ECHL affiliate the Peoria Rivermen. After being released by the Blues in 2003, Voth spent a further two seasons in the ECHL, spending the 2003-04 season with the Columbus Cottonmouths and the 2004-05 season with the Texas Wildcatters. In 2005, Voth moved to the United Kingdom and signed for the Cardiff Devils of the Elite Ice Hockey League. Miriam Toews
Miriam Toews (; born 1964) is a Canadian writer and author of nine books, including '' A Complicated Kindness'' (2004), '' All My Puny Sorrows'' (2014), and '' Women Talking'' (2018). She has won a number of literary prizes including the Governor General's Award for Fiction and the Writers' Trust Engel/Findley Award for her body of work.
