Volcano (Temples Album)
''Volcano'' is the second studio album by English rock band Temples, released on 3 March 2017 by Heavenly Recordings. The album was recorded at their home studio, and is self-produced. Temples member James Bagshaw described the album as being "a result of implementing a load of things that we didn't know about the first time around n Sun Structures. Singles "Certainty" was released as a single in September 2016. This was followed by a remixes EP of the single in November 2016, featuring remixes by Franz Ferdinand and Grumbling Fur Maschine. The second single "Strange or Be Forgotten" was released on 10 January 2017. This was also followed by a remix by Jono Ma of Jagwar Ma, titled "Strange or Be Forgottten" (Jono Ma Even Stranger Version) on 16 February 2017. Temples (band)
Temples are an English rock band, formed in Kettering, England in 2012 by singer and guitarist James Bagshaw and bassist Tom Walmsley. The band's lineup was later completed with the addition of keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Adam Smith and drummer Rens Ottink. They have released three studio albums, two EPs, and a number of singles. Their debut album, ''Sun Structures'', was released in 2014 and charted at number seven in the UK. They are signed to ATO Records and have toured internationally both as a support act and as the headliner. History The band was initially formed as a home studio project in mid 2012. Walmsley and Bagshaw had known each other for years before these projects. It was at this point that they were in rival bands based in their hometown of Kettering. Jagwar Ma
Jagwar Ma is an Australian psychedelic dance band formed in Sydney in 2011. It consists of Gabriel Winterfield (lead vocalist, guitarist), Jono Ma (guitar, beats, synths, production), and bass guitarist Jack Freeman, who joined 2012. The band name is derived from a satirical compound of the word "jaguar" and Jono's surname. In 2013, Jagwar Ma signed with record labels Mom+Pop (US), Marathon Artists (EU), and Future Classic (Australia) and released its debut album ''Howlin''. It released its second album ''Every Now and Then'' on 14 October 2016. Career Ma and Winterfield met in 2007. At this time, both were playing in different groups, Lost Valentinos and Ghostwood. Marta Salogni
Marta Salogni is an Italian record producer, mixer and recording engineer. Salogni's musical background was cultivated in her native Italy between the small towns of Capriolo and Brescia, where she spent her formative years, collaborating with musical acts of all styles. She started working as a live sound engineer for the local social centre and independent radio station Radio Onda D'Urto, non-profit left-wing venues and counterculture organizations for a variety of gigs, festivals, and theatre productions. After moving to London in 2010 she took a 9 months course at Alchemea College of Audio Engineering to learn Pro Tools, and shortly after began her career working as a recording engineer across major recording studios both nationally and internationally. HMV Japan
Sunrise Records and Entertainment, trading as HMV (for His Master's Voice), is a British music and entertainment retailer, currently operating exclusively in the United Kingdom. The first HMV-branded store was opened by the Gramophone Company on London's Oxford Street in 1921, and the HMV name was also used for television and radio sets manufactured from the 1930s onwards. The retail side of the business began to expand in the 1960s, and in 1998 was divested from EMI, the successor to the Gramophone Company, to form what would become HMV Group. HMV stands for His Master's Voice, the title of a painting by Francis Barraud of Nipper listening to a Phonograph cylinder, bought by the Gramophone Company in 1899.
