Vinny Perth
Vinny Perth (born 2 August 1976) is an Irish football manager and former player who most recently was manager of Dundalk. He was confirmed as the new manager of Dundalk in January 2019, taking over from the departed Stephen Kenny. He had been Kenny's assistant at Dundalk since 2013. On 20 August 2020, Perth left his position as manager of Dundalk after they were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League. On 16 June 2021, Perth returned to the club as manager, appointed with the club sat in 8th place in the table. Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland. The League of Ireland Cup ( ga, Corn Sraithe na hÉireann), also referred to in Ireland as the 'League Cup', is an annual knockout competition in men's football in the Republic of Ireland. It is contested by League of Ireland clubs and invited clubs from the lower levels of the Republic of Ireland football league system. It has been sponsored by Electronic Arts and branded the EA Sports Cup since 2009. The competition began in 1973–74, replacing the League of Ireland Shield and the Dublin City Cup. It has had several formats since its inception and has been a knock-out competition since 2005. Professional Footballers' Association Of Ireland
The Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland (PFAI) is the representative body for professional and semi-professional footballers in Republic of Ireland. Players from all nationalities in the League of Ireland are represented, not just Irish players. It is a member of FIFPro; the international body for similar organisations, and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. The PFAI's current chairman is Brendan Clarke. The highest profile activities of the PFAI is the annual Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards. These winners of these awards are voted for by member players and members cannot vote for one of their clubmates. Paul McGrath is currently the only man to win the award in Ireland and also win the PFA Players' Player of the Year award in England. 2019 President Of Ireland's Cup
The 2019 President's Cup was the sixth President's Cup contested for. The match was played between the champions of 2018 League of Ireland Premier Division and 2018 FAI Cup, Dundalk, and Cork City who were runners-up in both of those competitions. It took place on 9 February 2019, at Turners Cross and was won by Dundalk. Dundalk won the game 2–1 to win their second President's Cup. The President of Ireland's Cup, also known simply as the President's Cup, is an association football super cup featuring clubs from the Republic of Ireland football league system. It is a one-off match between the winners of the previous season's League of Ireland Premier Division and the FAI Cup, and similarly to the FA Community Shield in England, functions both as a domestic Super cup and a unofficial opener to the football season in Ireland. The 2019 League of Ireland Cup, also known for sponsorship reasons as the 2019 EA Sports Cup, was the 46th season of the League of Ireland's secondary knockout competition. The EA Sports Cup featured teams from the SSE Airtricity League Premier and First Divisions, as well as some intermediate level teams.
