Luka Vidmar (born May 17, 1986) is a Slovenian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for the SønderjyskE Ishockey of the Danish Metal Ligaen. Playing career After playing as a youth professionally for HDD Olimpija Ljubljana in the Slovenian Ice Hockey League, Vidmar moved to North America and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage where he played fours seasons of NCAA Division I ice hockey with the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves men's ice hockey team. He accumulated 33 points and 135 penalty minutes in 114 games with the Seawolves. Vidmar began the 2011–12 ECHL season with the Las Vegas Wranglers where he played three games before signing with the Colorado Eagles on November 11, 2011. Tony Vidmar
Antony Vidmar (born 4 July 1970) is an Australian soccer coach and former player, who serves as an assistant coach with the Australia national team. He was a member of the Australia national team, competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona for his native country, and with 76 caps, is one of Australia's most capped players. His brother Aurelio Vidmar is also a former footballer. Club career Vidmar was born in Adelaide. Milan Vidmar
Milan Vidmar (22 June 1885 – 9 October 1962) was a Slovenian electrical engineer, chess player, chess theorist, and writer. He was among the top dozen chess players in the world from 1910 to 1930 and in 1950, was among the inaugural recipients of the title International Grandmaster from FIDE. Vidmar was a specialist in power transformers and transmission of electric current. Meta Vidmar
Meta Vidmar (born Metoda Vidmar, 15 May 1899, Ljubljana – 1 November 1975, Ljubljana) was the first Slovene modern dancer, notable for establishing the Mary Wigman dance school in Ljubljana in 1930, the first modern dance school in Slovenia. Life Meta Vidmar was the sister of the literary critic and politician Josip Vidmar, the chess master Milan Vidmar, the Yugoslavia gymnastics team coach for the Olympic games in London in 1948 Stane Vidmar, and the publisher Ciril Vidmar (her twin). In 1927, she graduated from the dance school in Dresden established and led by Mary Wigman, with whom she spent seven years and who gave her a license to open a dance school in her name in Slovenia. Maja Vidmar (born December 30, 1985) is a Slovenian rock climber who specializes in competition lead climbing and sport climbing, and is known for winning the 2007 Lead Climbing World Championship. She started competing in 2000, at the age of 15, and retired from international competitions at the age of 29, after participating in the 2014 Lead Climbing World Championship and 2014 Lead Climbing World Cup. She was the second-ever woman in history to onsight an route. Career Vidmar started climbing at the age of 12 years, in 1997 in a climbing gym.
