Vesdre
The Vesdre (), Weser () or Vesder () is a river in Liège Province, eastern Belgium. River A few kilometres of the upper reaches also flow through the German municipality Roetgen and form part of the Belgian–German border. The Vesdre's total length is approximately . It is a right tributary to the river Ourthe. Its source lies in the High Fens (, , ), close to the border with Germany near Monschau. It flows through an artificial lake ( Lake Eupen), and then through the towns of Eupen, Verviers, Pepinster and Chaudfontaine. The Vesdre flows into the Ourthe a few kilometres from Liège where the Ourthe in turn flows into the river Meuse. Lake Eupen
Lake Eupen is an artificial lake near Eupen in East Belgium, not far from High Fens. The lake is created by a dam which was built on the river Vesdre in 1938 but inaugurated only in 1950 by Prince Charles of Belgium. The area has a German-speaking population who refer to the river Vesdre as ''Weser'', but which is distinct from the Weser river in North Germany. Limbourg
Limbourg (; German and Dutch: ''Limburg''; ) or Limbourg-sur-Vesdre is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2008, Limbourg had a total population of 5,680. The total area is 24.63 km2 which gives a population density of 231 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Bilstain, Goé, and Limbourg. The lower part of the town, along the Vesdre, is called Dolhain. Etymology and history The second part of the name Limbourg is from ''burg'' meaning a fortified town, which is common in many parts of Europe where Germanic languages are spoken or have been spoken historically (see Germanic placename etymology). Sillon Industriel
The ''Sillon industriel'' (, "industrial furrow") is the former industrial backbone of Belgium. It runs across the region of Wallonia, passing from Dour, the region of Borinage, in the west, to Verviers in the east, passing along the way through Mons, La Louvière ( ''Centre''-region), Charleroi ('' Pays Noir''), Namur, Huy, and Liège. It follows a continuous stretch of valleys of the rivers Haine, Sambre, Meuse and Vesdre, and has an area of roughly 1000 km2. Hill (stream)
The Hill () is a stream in the High Fens in east Belgium. Course The Hill rises near the highest point in Belgium, the Signal de Botrange and empties into the Vesdre (''Weser'') at Eupen, 25 kilometres further north. The most important tributaries of the Hill are the Spoorbach and the Soor. The confluence of the Hill and the Spoorbach is located 10 kilometres further downstream near the village of Herzogenhügel. This village is interesting for geological reasons: in a stone quarry there is the only rock of volcanic origin in East Belgium. The Soor discharges into the Hill just before Eupen, at a place called the Black Bridge (''Schwarze Brücke''). Meuse

The Ourthe (; Walloon: ''Aiwe d' Oûte'') is a long river in the Ardennes in Wallonia, Belgium. River It is a right tributary to the river Meuse. The Ourthe is formed at the confluence of the ''Ourthe Occidentale'' (Western Ourthe) and the ''Ourthe Orientale'' (Eastern Ourthe), west of Houffalize. The source of the ''Ourthe Occidentale'' is near Libramont-Chevigny, in the Belgian province Luxembourg. Hautes Fagnes
The High Fens (; ; ), which were declared a nature reserve in 1957, are an upland area, a plateau region in Liège Province, in the east of Belgium and adjoining parts of northwestern Germany, between the Ardennes and the Eifel highlands. The High Fens are the largest nature reserve or park in Belgium, with an area of ; it lies within the German-Belgian natural park ''Hohes Venn-Eifel'' (), in the Ardennes.
