''Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana'' () is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by V. Sekhar. The film stars Nassar and Radhika, while Jaishankar, Goundamani, Senthil, Vadivelu, Kovai Sarala, and Vinu Chakravarthy play supporting roles. It was released on 14 April 1994. The film was later remade in Telugu as ''Aasthi Mooredu Aasha Baaredu'' (1995) and in Kannada by same director as '' Hendtheer Darbar'' (2010). Plot Sivaraman, an honest government clerk, and his wife Lakshmi belong to a middle-class family and they have two children. "Anjaadha Singam" Marudhapaandi, a corrupt politician, moves into a new house near Sivaraman's house. Marudhapaandi's lifestyle influences Lakshmi, and she tries to ape him by buying luxurious items on installments. Nassar (actor)
Nassar (born Muhammad Hanif; 5 March 1958) is an Indian actor, director, producer, dubbing artist, singer and politician who mainly works in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries. He has also worked in few Kannada, English, Hindi and Bengali films. He is the incumbent president of the Nadigar Sangam. Early life and education Nassar was born as Muhammad Hanif on March 5, 1958, into a Tamil family in Palur, Tamil Nadu, India. His parents were Mehaboob Basha and Mumtaz. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence. Vairamani also spelled as Vairamoni was a village in Idukki district of Kerala. The village was submerged in water in 1974 when the reservoir of the Idukki Dam was filled with water. History Due to food shortages during the period of C. P. Ramaswami Iyer, people were given 5 acres of land each as part of the decision to lease out the swamps. These villages were rich in paddy cultivation. After Indian independence the village became part of Idukki district of Kerala. The subsequent Communist government came to power after formation of Kerala state gave the land to the families.
