Vanse
Vanse is a village in Farsund municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about west of the town of Farsund and about east of the village of Vestbygd. The Farsund Airport, Lista is located just west of Vanse. The village was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Lista from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The old municipality was known as ''Vanse'' from 1838 until 1911. The village has a population (2015) of 2,016 which gives the village a population density of . Vanse Church is a medieval stone church, built in 1037 in the village of Vanse. A stone monument stands near the church. it is a memorial of fatalities during the Gunboat War (1807–1814). It is surrounded by authentic small cannons and a circle of stones with chain. A speech is held by this stone each year on Constitution Day, May 17. Vanse Church
Vanse Church (; historic: ) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Farsund Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vanse. It is the main church for the Lista parish which is part of the Lister og Mandal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, stone church was built in a cruciform design around the year 1037 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The medieval church was rebuilt and expanded in the 12th century and then again in the mid-19th century. The church currently seats about 850 people. Lista is a former municipality located in the old Vest-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. Karl Sanne
Karl Sanne (26 January 1869 – 29 June 1945) was a Norwegian farmer and politician of the Conservative Party who served as Minister of Education and Church Affairs from 1923 to 1924. Biography He took part in the farm and banking work of his foster father in Vanse, before eventually taking over the farm Bryne and serving as treasurer at Vanse Sogns Sparebank in 1897. He held a number of positions besides his political activity. Sanne was a member of the Supervisory Board of Svelvik and Strøms Sparebank from 1927 to 1937. Vestbygd or Borhaug is a village in Farsund municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the southwestern shore of the Lista peninsula, about straight west of the village of Vanse. The Farsund Airport, Lista is located on the east side of Vestbygd. The Lista Lighthouse lies just west of the village. Farsund Airport, Lista (, ) is an airport situated on the Lista peninsula in the municipality of Farsund in Agder county, Norway.
