The Ohio Range () is a range in the Transantarctic Mountains of Antarctica. It is about long and wide, extending west-southwest – east-northeast from Eldridge Peak to Mirsky Ledge. The range forms the northeast end of the Horlick Mountains and consists primarily of a large snow-topped plateau with steep northern cliffs and several flat-topped ridges and mountains. The highest point, , is the summit of Mount Schopf. Exploration and naming The range was surveyed in 1958–59 by the United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) Horlick Mountains Traverse. Vann McElroy
Vann William McElroy (born January 13, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarilty with the Los Angeles Raiders. A , safety, he played college football for the Baylor Bears, he was selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 1982 NFL draft. McElroy played in consecutive Pro Bowls following the 1983 and 1984 seasons, and was a member of the Raiders' 1983 team that won Super Bowl XVIII in a rout of the favored Washington Redskins. During the 1990 season, the Raiders traded McElroy to the Seahawks on October 16 in exchange for the Seahawks' eighth-round pick in the 1991 NFL draft. Vann Molyvann (; 23 November 1926 – 28 September 2017) was a Cambodian architect and urban planner. Molyvann is best known as pioneering the style known as New Khmer Architecture, which combined Modernist architect, modernism and Khmer architecture, Khmer tradition, and accounted for the country's unique environment and irrigation needs. During Cambodia's Kingdom of Cambodia (1953–1970), post-independence period between 1957 and 1970, Molyvann was appointed by Norodom Sihanouk to reshape and modernise Cambodia through the construction of new towns, infrastructure and architecture. John Paul Vann
John Paul Vann (born John Paul Tripp; July 2, 1924 – June 9, 1972) was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army, later retired, who became well known for his role in the Vietnam War. Although separated from the military before the Vietnam War reached its peak, he returned to service as a civilian under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development and by the waning days of the war was the first American civilian to command troops in regular combat there. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and was the only civilian in Vietnam to receive the Distinguished Service Cross. He died on June 9, 1972, in a helicopter crash in Vietnam just after the Battle of Kontum.
