Valery Vostrotin
Valery Aleskandrovich Vostrotin (; 20 November 1952 – 13 February 2024) was a Russian military officer and politician. A member of United Russia, he served in the State Duma from 2003 to 2011. Vostrotin died in Moscow Oblast on 13 February 2024, at the age of 71. A memorial ceremony was held on 16 February at the Central House of Officers of the Russian Army in Moscow, attended by Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu. Kasli () is a town and the administrative center of Kaslinsky District in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, located among several lakes on the eastern slope of the Middle Urals, northwest of Chelyabinsk, the administrative center of the oblast. The Russian News Agency TASS, or simply TASS, is a Russian state-owned news agency founded in 1904. It is the largest Russian news agency and one of the largest news agencies worldwide. The title Hero of the Soviet Union () was the highest distinction in the Soviet Union, awarded together with the Order of Lenin personally or collectively for heroic feats in service to the Soviet state and society.
