Vaimaye Vellum
''Vaimaye Vellum'' (spelt in the title credits as ''Voimaye Vellom''; ) is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language crime drama film directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Parthiban and Rachna Banerjee. It was released on 14 February 1997. Plot Maari is a notorious gangster and industrialist who terrorises the city through kidnapping, extortion, and murder. He lures impoverished young men into their employ, only to brutally eliminate them after exploiting their labour, through his henchman Kaasi. This pattern has resulted in the gruesome deaths of 22 innocent youths. In response to the escalating violence, the DGP assembles a special force comprising officers from various police stations along the East Coast Road. Rachna Banerjee (born Jhumjhum Banerjee; 2 October 1972) is an Indian actress, entrepreneur, television presenter and politician. She is known primarily for her works in Bengali and Odia films, besides a few Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. Chelladurai (1941 - 7 February 2015) was an Indian comedian who worked in Tamil-language films. He acted in over 350 films. Career Chelladurai made his film debut with '' Thooral Ninnu Pochchu'' (1982). He is known for his comic sequences with actor Vadivelu. He became famous for his role in '' Shree'' (2002) as the owner of a wine shop named Prabha. In the scene, a thief named Marimuthu ( Vadivelu) breaks into the shop and calls the owner and asks when the shop will open. The owner tells him that the store is closed. Vadivelu drinks alcohol and repeatedly disturbs the shop owner during the night.
